NINE MUSES of star empire Review

★★★☆☆
Recently I watched the 2012 documentary focusing on Nine Muses' road to debut.
I have to give it three stars because although it is a good source of information
on both the Kpop industry and the group it covers, the documentary overall
does a poor job of keeping attention and explaining what is going on.
Somehow, even though there is music in half the film, there is very little useful sound.
Most of the documentary focuses on dance practices and the girls sitting around talking,
there isn't too much said about the amount of work they are doing or how far along they are.
There is a lot of time confusion as to where the group is at, including during their first
line up change.

Unfortunately, the group dynamics shown in the film were not to last. As of today there are
only three of the original members remaining, four if you include Hyuna
who joined during the film. However, I would recommend this documentary to any
MINE (Nine Muses official fan club) members and anyone looking to learn more about the
Kpop industry.

MAMAMOO - You're The Best

Mamamoo is back with a vengeance.
Hours ago Mamamoo released "You're The Best," a fun and upbeat song
done in their classic retro style. Listening to the song it seems as
though the girls gave an "Um Oh Ah Yeh" style facelift to their debut song;
"Mr. Ambiguous." Later in the video itself, the group makes a direct reference
to the 2014 release with the signature finger stash and a drop of the associated phrase.
I would love to hear how you feel about the new video in the comments section,
so as usual, check out the video below.

Cosmic Girls Debut - Part 1

Starship Entertainments new rookie group Cosmic Girls just released the
music video for Mo mo mo, the first part of their 2 part debut.

Cosmic Girls is a 12 member Chinese/Korean girl group
with each member representing a different sign in the western zodiac.
Members consist of:
SeolA - Age 21, Sagittarius
Xuan Yi - Age 21, Aquarius
Soobin - Age 19, Virgo
EXY - Age 20, Scorpio
Bona - Age 19, Leo
Luda - Age 18, Pisces
Dawon - Age 18, Aries
Mei Qi - Age 17, Libra
Eunseo - Age 17, Gemini
Cheng Xiao - Age 17, Cancer
Yeoreum - Age 17, Capricorn
Dayoung - Age 16, Taurus

As for "Mo mo mo" the song is bright and cheery, and the video is a
fun lively representation of the girls on an alien planet
possibly falling in love with an astronaut. But this won't be confirmed
for those of us who don't speak Korean until the subtitles are released. Until
then, check out the new video below.

Ladies' Code Comeback

It has finally happened.
After almost 2 years, following the tragic deaths of members EunBi and RiSe,
Ladies' Code's remaining members Ashley, SoJung, and Zuny, have
finally made their long awaited comeback. In their new video, "Galaxy," it
is safe to say they did both EunBi and RiSe proud.

Both the song and video appear to allude to their fallen stars,
and both have a rather slow and somber tone.
The whole video has a peaceful, semi-retro atmosphere and
alternates between a muted color scheme and black and white.

I feel as though this could be the start of a new beginning for
these strong girls who have already been through far too much.
I hope you will support them through their return and check out their
new album "Myst3ry" as well as the "Galaxy" video below.

Reboot

I am finally reviving this blog!
I have modified a few things and removed any posts not related to music,
movies, or dramas. this blog will now focus solely on those and related topics.
I will be trying to keep up to date with new music video releases and expect one drama
or movie review every month or so. Also, if I hear any Korean celebrity news I find worth I will
be posting that here as well. Best wishes to you all.
